Insurance Coordinator
Biospine Institute is seeking an experienced Insurance Coordinator for our Tampa Location. The Insurance Coordinator is a vital part of our team and is responsible for educating our surgical patients about coverage and benefits in accordance with their individual policies once procedures are scheduled.
The Insurance Coordinator responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Review of payer coverage determinations and submission of surgical procedures authorizations.
- Interpretation and review of patient insurance benefits as it relates to booked surgeries.
- Works in collaboration with clinical staff to ensure that all medical necessity criteria are met and documented in the proper locations of the patient chart.
- Will act as a liaison to the billing department to ensure that any post-surgical payment issues are resolved timely.
- Works with patients to ensure that any potential financial obstacles are addressed, including determining patient eligibility for financial assistance, payment plans, or Care Credit application.
- The ideal candidate for this position would possess High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in working within multiple computer programs.
- 1 to 2 years’ experience with government and commercial payer policies and authorizations.
- 1 to 2 years’ knowledge of ICD-10 and pain management procedures.
- Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.
- Typing Speed of 45 WPM.

Job Responsibilities:
- Locating, printing, and entering new patient paperwork before the scheduled appointment ·
- Communicating with the office manager and call center regarding patients with no paperwork ·

Summarization of Role
We are looking for a multitasking Scribe looking for growth in a fast-growing orthopedic practice. You will also serve at the right-hand of the provider acting as their medical scribe and playing an essential part in maintaining the integrity of their clinical notes. Joining the provider for all office visits with patients you listen intently and document the diagnostic findings, examination findings, and the patients plan of care.
Job Responsibilities
Transcribing doctor/patient visits to include:
- Physical examination findings
- Diagnostic imaging findings

The Scrub Tech performs technical responsibilities relative to assisting
Physicians with the instrumentation of surgical intervention. Monitors PAR levels of all surgical instruments and supplies. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments. Participates in staff meetings and performance improvement activities. Works under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.

POSITION SUMMARY:
A Registered Nurse is a professional who provides patient care based upon the nursing process; being effectively involved with maintaining the standard of care for assigned patients through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The Registered Nurse shall oversee and guide employees that are under his/her supervision. The Registered Nurse actively supports and promotes the Center’s Philosophy and mission statement. Job Responsibilities
- Operating C-arm during surgeries and fluoroscopic procedures
- X-Ray patients during clinic visits

Qualifications and Skill Requirements

Job Summary:
The telephone operator staff are responsible for many tasks directly related to patient satisfaction. Receive inbound calls for appointment confirmation, appointment changes, appointment cancellations, records requests, prescription requests, and general office questions. Many patients view the Clinic either favorably or not based on interactions with the operator. It is imperative that the operator be familiar with medical office protocol.
Assigned Duties:
1. Answer telephone following Clinic standards.
2. Make, change or cancel appointments for established patients only
3. Review, on the E.H.R. system, and possibly task a message and/or route the call to the appropriate personnel.

BioSpine Institute is looking to expand the Patient Concierge Team by adding a new Patient Onboarding Specialist. This position is responsible for first impressions and the initial onboarding process for new patients.
Patient Onboarding Specialist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Answer incoming calls, online leads, and chat questions from prospective patients.
- Establish rapport with new patients and gain understanding of current patient condition.
- Communicate treatment services offered by the medical team.
- Accurately enter new patient information in the customer relations management and practice management system.
