
The BioSpine Institute would like to welcome the talented Dr. Roderick Claybrooks to the team.
He joins us from Southfield, Mich. where he was an orthopedic surgery specialist at Michigan Spine and Brain Surgeons.
Dr. Claybrooks has begun to see patients at our Tampa clinic and perform minimally invasive spine procedures at our surgery center located at Avion Park Dr.
He brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and expertise to our patients and staff.
In 1999, Claybrooks earned his medical degree from Wayne State University of Medicine in Detroit, Mich. Claybrooks joined the Detroit Medical center following graduation where he completed his orthopedic surgery internship and residency.
Not only has Dr. Claybrooks racked up hours of experience in the operating room treating patients with spine conditions, he has taught aspiring surgeons in the growing field of minimally invasive spine surgery. In 2009, Dr. Claybrooks joined the faculty at his Alma Mater (Wayne State University) as a clinical assistant professor. In 2016, he was named clinical assistant professor at Michigan State University. He has also taught surgery techniques at orthopedic residency programs at Wayne State University and the Detroit Medical Center as well as the St. John Providence Neurosurgery residency program.
Dr. Claybrooks has received many accolades during his career, including being recognized by the Consumer’s Research Council of Americas Guide to Top Orthopedists and named a “Top Doc” by Hour Magazine. He is also a published author of multiple articles appearing in peer-reviewed journals around the world.
