Less pain, less pain relievers
Minimally invasive surgeries cause less postoperative pain and discomfort. Studies have shown that patients undergoing MIS procedures report less pain and require smaller doses of pain relievers than patients undergoing traditional surgeries. Many of our patients boast about not using pain relievers following their surgery.
Depart our facility the same day
There are no long incisions with minimally invasive surgery. Surgeons do not cut through muscles during the procedure, meaning less tissue damage and a faster recovery than traditional surgery which necessarily involves muscle cuts. Our patients will comfortably leave our facility on the same day as their procedure. In most cases, the patient can return to work and the normal activities of daily life.
How BioSpine does it
Through our advanced minimally invasive surgery. Our typical operation begins with a small ¾” incision, through which special instruments are used to gently separate muscle, allowing the surgeon to reach the problem area with limited intrusion to the surrounding muscle and tissue. This step eliminates the need to cut the muscle as occurs with traditional open spine surgery. This leads to less pain, faster recovery and less scarring.
